I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

 

Continuous as the stars that shine

And twinkle on the milky way,

They stretched in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

 

The waves beside them danced; but they

Outdid the sparkling waves in glee;

A poet could not but be gay,

In such a jocund company;

I gazed-and gazed-but little thought

What wealth the show to me had brought:

 

For lft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye

Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heatt with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

나는 한 가닥 구름처럼 외로이 돌아다녔네

골짜기와 언덕 높이 떠다니는

시인이 어찌 즐겁지 아니했겠는가

그 즐거운 무리 속에

나는 쳐다보고 또 쳐다보았네. 하지만

생각은 별로 하지 않았네

수선화가 어떤 기쁨을 나에게 가져왔는지는.

왜냐하면 종종 내가 침상에 누워 있노라면

하염없이 혹은 깊은 생각에 잠겨

수선화가 내적인 눈에 번뜩여

고독의 축복인 그

내 가슴이 기쁨으로 가득 차서 수선화와 덩실덩실 함께 춤을 추기에.
